Preparation for 2022 Winter Olympics
The Beijing – Zhangjiakou High-Speed Railway is an important transportation project for the 2022 Winter Olympics. This 108-mile rail route greatly cuts the travel time between Beijing and Zhangjiakou, both are host cities of the 2022 Winter Olympics. The intermediate stations of this route include Badalingchangcheng (Badaling Great Wall), which is considered the most famous section of China's Great Wall.
New service has launched ahead of the Beijing Winter Olympics in 2022: the world’s first and fastest driverless bullet train went into service on this high-speed rail route, which is capable of reaching a top of up to 350 km/h (217 mph).
