Train Travel Tips
The duration when taking a normal-speed train from Turpan to Kashgar varies from 12 to 21 hours, depending on the different types of trains. The ‘T’ trains are the fastest among them. The trains that only have numbers are the slowest ones.
Sometimes, there are direct flights between Turpan and Kashgar but they are not available every day. The airfares for the direct flights are very high at over 2,000 CNY for a single trip. However, you can check to see if there are any discounts available in advance.
There are two railway stations in Turpan: Turpan Railway Station and Turpan North Railway Station. The normal-speed trains start from / end at both stations. Please make sure you find the right station.
